Travel Registered Nurse Charge Acute Care Job
About The Position
This is a travel - temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse, Charge Acute Care in Janesville, WI. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting 09/14/2026. The role involves inpatient acute care unit work within a healthcare setting, with potential float to other inpatient units based on census. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, administer medications and treatments, document care, develop patient care plans, and participate in performance improvement activities. The position requires clinical judgment to promote patient safety and positive patient experience, and may involve floating to other inpatient units as census dictates.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license
- CPR certification
- Education verification
- Experience in inpatient care settings; prior work in skilled nursing or acute inpatient units preferred
- Ability to work the 12-hour day shift schedule and participate in weekend/holiday rotations
- Flexibility to float to other inpatient units as needed

Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and applicable laws.
- Document assessments, plans, treatments, and patient responses according to professional standards.
- Develop and execute a patient care plan, including patient and family education tailored to individual needs and physician/hospital policies.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities and support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Exercise clinical judgment to promote patient safety and positive patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
- May float to other inpatient units as census dictates to support patient care needs.
