About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position with a focus on Acute Care and the Emergency Department in Geneva, NY. The assignment is for 20 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,246-$2,362. The role involves rotating shifts, including day/night/holiday coverage, and a 12-hour shift pattern with on-call responsibilities. The setting is a Short-Term Acute Care environment with direct Emergency Department responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
• Two years of acute hospital RN experience; at least one year in an ED environment
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active licensure; ability to work in an ED/acute care setting
• Flexibility to participate in rotating day/night/holiday coverage and on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, primary assessment, priority setting, and ongoing monitoring of patients of all ages
• Lead and collaborate with the care team; delegate tasks appropriately and ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely interventions
• Administer medications, perform appropriate invasive and non-invasive procedures, and initiate treatments per ED protocols
• Educate patients and families, prepare for diagnostic procedures, and coordinate post-emergency care and referrals
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly; communicate with physicians and other team members to optimize care
• Uphold infection prevention standards and a healing environment; address psychosocial needs and maintain open, compassionate communication with patients and families
