About The Position

This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care located in Lancaster, PA. The contract is for 13 weeks and begins on 09/29/2026. The role is situated in an outpatient surgery center setting. The weekly pay ranges from $2,466 to $2,596, with guaranteed hours of 24 per week. The primary shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The current roster is part-time, typically Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday, with the possibility of staying after the shift. A 3x10s option, totaling up to 30 hours per week, may also be considered. This is a Local Contract (Nursing) assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, which provides dedicated support.

Requirements

Active RN license in Pennsylvania or a Compact state
BSN degree required
2+ years of RN experience with pediatric and adult ENT, podiatry, breast reconstruction, and GYN procedures
Ability to work in an ambulatory/outpatient surgical setting
Availability for the specified shift pattern (7:00am–3:30pm) and the possibility of a 3x10s schedule

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative care to patients undergoing outpatient procedures, with exposure to pediatric and adult ENT, podiatry, breast reconstruction, and GYN surgeries.
Conduct preoperative assessments and assist with postoperative discharge planning; monitor patient condition and respond to changes as directed.
Maintain sterile technique, prepare supplies and equipment, and support the surgical team during procedures.
Educate patients and families on postoperative care, precautions, and follow-up instructions.
Document care activities accurately and promptly; collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing colleagues to ensure patient safety and efficient care delivery.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in the ambulatory setting.
