About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for an Occupational Therapist in a K-12 school setting, serving elementary through high school students in Federal Way, Washington. The role is on-site and requires the therapist to conduct evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, modify activities and environments, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and document progress. The assignment begins on 09/02/2026 and lasts for 41 weeks, with a shift of 7.5 hours per day, from 08:00 to 16:00, five days a week.

Requirements

Active occupational therapy license in Washington state or eligibility to obtain licensure
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or Doctorate as applicable)
Experience or demonstrated interest in pediatric populations and school-based practice
Ability to work on-site in a school setting during the listed shift and to collaborate with educators and support staff
Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Ability to pass required background checks and clearances for school-based employment

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students and translate findings into functional goals.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals; deliver direct therapy and, when appropriate, small-group sessions.
Modify activities, tasks, and classroom environments to support fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and participation in classroom routines.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting.
Document therapy sessions in a timely, accurate manner; monitor student progress and adjust goals as needed.
Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and state regulations; support transition planning and coordination with other professionals as required.
