About The Position

This travel temporary assignment provides occupational therapy services in an acute care setting, focusing on restoring and improving functional abilities and participation for patients across applicable populations.

Requirements

  • Active Occupational Therapist license to practice in California.
  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Master’s preferred; Doctorate considered acceptable).
  • Ability to work in an acute care/inpatient environment with rotating shifts.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to support an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred; applicable US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct segments of OT treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions, aligned with department objectives.
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  • Document patient progress, outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed to meet goals.
  • Serve as co-leader in interdisciplinary care, coordinating with other team members for group-based activities and care planning.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs; support discharge planning and transitions of care.
