About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an acute care, inpatient environment. The assignment is temporary and lasts for 13 weeks, starting on 08/24/2026. The role involves planning and conducting treatment programs to restore patient functions, serving as a co-leader in interdisciplinary patient groups, and implementing individualized treatment plans. The COTA will also document patient progress, adjust plans as needed, support care and discharge planning, and provide education to patients and families.

Requirements

Ability to work in an acute care/inpatient setting.
Strong collaboration and communication within an interdisciplinary team.
Ability to implement treatment plans and contribute to ongoing patient care.
Proficiency in documenting patient progress and charting.
Willingness to work a day shift on a 40-hour workweek.
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to assignment duration.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions, while meeting department objectives.
Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.
Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
Document patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and support care planning and discharge planning.
Provide patient and family education on therapy goals, progress, and home programs.
