About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an Acute Care setting, specifically within a long-term care facility in Puyallup, Washington. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/17/2026, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week on a 5x8 day shift schedule. The role involves assessing residents' functional abilities, developing and implementing individualized OT treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The COTA will also reassess patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and participate in discharge planning and caregiver education, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Washington State (COTA)
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Ability to work in a long-term care environment and respond to occasional acute care needs
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Availability to work the 5x8 day shift and meet guaranteed hours

Responsibilities

Assess residents’ functional abilities and contribute to the development of individualized OT treatment plans.
Implement evidence-based therapy interventions to restore or maintain independence in daily activities.
