About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an acute care setting within a skilled nursing facility in Laconia, NH. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 35 hours per week on a day shift schedule. The role involves providing occupational therapy assistant services under supervision, assisting with patient assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of therapy plans. The COTA will support patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and functional tasks, document patient progress, and utilize therapeutic activities and equipment to promote independence and safety. Collaboration with the OT, nursing, and therapy teams is essential for cohesive, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligibility to practice
Graduation from an accredited OTA program (associate degree)
CPR/BLS certification
Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting with acute care responsibilities
Strong communication skills and accurate documentation abilities
Willingness to travel and participate in a travel assignment

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy assistant services under supervision within an acute care–or SNF-oriented setting
Assist with patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapy plans
Support patients with activities of daily living, bed mobility, transfers, and functional tasks
Document patient progress, notes, and any changes in status per facility policies
Utilize therapeutic activities, modalities, and adaptive equipment as directed to promote independence and safety
Collaborate with the OT, nursing, and therapy teams to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care
