Travel Consultant
About The Position
As a Travel Consultant, you are the face of BCD and communicate with current and prospective clients, helping them travel smart and achieve more. You search and confirm travel reservations, consult with clients about their travel policies, provide relevant industry information, and support clients with travel regulations. This is a remote, full-time role in the United States. The stated regular hours are 9 AM–6 PM Eastern Time, Monday–Friday; however, the position requires schedule flexibility, and assignments may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts according to business needs.
Requirements
- Travel agent experience.
- Relevant skills in GDS Sabre.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Solid working knowledge of travel industry policies, procedures, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Search and confirm travel reservations for customers.
- Understand client travel policies and consistently provide consultation to customers.
- Fulfill requests regarding travel regulations, including DOT, TSA, passports, and visas.
- Provide clients with industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties.
- Review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients and suggest improvements.
- Maintain, communicate, and expand knowledge of the travel industries supported.
