About The Position

As a Travel Consultant, you are the face of BCD Travel. You communicate with current and prospective clients, helping them travel smart and achieve more. This full-time remote position is based in the United States. The stated operating hours are 8:00 AM–6:00 PM EST, but schedules require flexibility and assignments may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts according to business needs. Preferred schedules and ongoing shift modifications may not be available.

The salary range for candidates in applicable US jurisdictions is $47,000–$55,000. Actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Requirements

• Travel agent experience.
• Relevant skills in GDS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Solid working knowledge of travel industry policies, procedures, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Search for and confirm travel reservations for customers.
• Understand client travel policies and provide consistent consultation to customers.
• Fulfill requests related to travel regulations, including DOT, TSA, passports, and visas.
• Provide clients with industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties.
• Review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients and suggest improvements.
• Maintain, communicate, and expand knowledge of the travel industries supported.
