About The Position

As a Travel Consultant, you are the face of BCD Travel. You respond to requests from current and prospective clients, helping them travel smart and achieve more. The position is remote in the United States and requires flexibility to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as business needs determine. Preferred schedules and ongoing shift modifications may not be available.

Requirements

• Experience as a travel agent.
• Relevant skills in GDS Sabre.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Search for and confirm travel reservations for customers.
• Understand client travel policies and consistently provide consultation to customers.
• Fulfill requests related to regulations, including DOT and TSA requirements, passports, and visas.
• Provide clients with relevant industry information, including low fares, exchange costs, and penalties.
• Review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients and suggest improvements.
• Maintain, communicate, and expand knowledge of the travel industries supported.
