About The Position

The Travel Consultant coordinates travel for employees deploying to, returning from, and transferring between data center projects across the United States. The role arranges flights, lodging, ground transportation, and itinerary changes in alignment with staffing plans, company travel policy, budgets, and project schedules. The position works from a company-approved home office and manages assigned priorities independently within delegated authority. It provides professional traveler communication and scheduled on-call assistance for disruptions and short-notice deployments. Occasional travel to deployment sites, company locations, or supplier meetings may be required; personal travel requirements and the primary work location will be confirmed for the assignment. The role develops deployment travel plans and forecasts; evaluates travel alternatives, providers, and supplier performance; manages travel budgets and records; and advises Operations and deployment leaders on options affecting cost, traveler needs, and readiness. It coordinates booking directly or through approved travel management partners, maintains readiness for requests with as little as 48 hours’ notice, and resolves disruptions within policy and spending authority. Decisions about unbudgeted spending, policy exceptions, and contractual commitments beyond the role’s delegation require approval from the appropriate leader. The employee must work an agreed schedule aligned with supported deployment locations and time zones. Business needs may require evening, weekend, holiday, or after-hours coverage under established coverage rotations and response expectations. Continuous traveler support is provided through an approved coverage plan; uninterrupted personal availability is not expected. The role primarily involves computer and telephone use, reviewing detailed travel and financial information, and communicating with employees and suppliers for extended periods. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
