About The Position

Inspir Senior Living is seeking a devoted and caring Transportation Coordinator/Chauffeur for Maplewood Chardon. The role helps provide exceptional service to residents by ensuring community-sponsored transportation is delivered appropriately and on time, with resident safety and security as the primary priority. All responsibilities are to be carried out consistently with Inspir Senior Living’s philosophy.

This is a full-time position for 30–40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday work is required as assigned. The coordinator transports residents to medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands in a community-owned vehicle, and responds flexibly to emergency transportation needs. The role also includes monitoring resident activity, checking the vehicle, reporting maintenance or safety issues, and following emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Able to perform occasional heavy lifting of up to 80 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift, push, pull, and move equipment, and bend and stoop.
• Able to spend extended periods standing or driving.
• Able to react quickly in any situation.
• Must meet weekend and holiday work requirements as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands using the community-owned vehicle.
• Read the transportation schedule daily and ensure scheduled appointments can be met.
• Respond flexibly to unscheduled transportation needs in an emergency.
• Monitor resident activity and alert staff when assistance is needed to maintain resident safety.
• Perform routine periodic vehicle inspections and inform the Executive Director of maintenance problems or safety issues.
• Know and follow community fire, missing-person, and other emergency procedures, including policies detailed in fire and disaster plans.
• Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-direction.
• Perform other duties assigned by any member of management.
