About The Position

Inspir Senior Living is seeking a caring Transportation Coordinator/Chauffeur for Maplewood Chardon. The role provides community-sponsored transportation for residents, with safety and security as the primary priorities, and carries out responsibilities in a manner consistent with Inspir Senior Living’s philosophy. This is a full-time position of 30–40 hours per week, with weekend and holiday work as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift, push, pull, and move equipment, and bend and stoop.
• Able to spend extended periods standing or driving and react quickly in any situation.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands using the community-owned vehicle.
• Review the daily transportation schedule and ensure scheduled appointments can be met.
• Remain flexible to handle unscheduled transportation needs in an emergency.
• Monitor resident activity and alert staff when assistance is needed to ensure resident safety.
• Complete routine periodic vehicle inspections and inform the Executive Director of maintenance problems or safety issues.
• Know and follow fire, missing-person, and other emergency procedures, including policies in community fire and disaster plans.
• Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Perform other duties assigned by any member of management.
