About The Position

This Training Assistant position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the area of Support Services. The mission-critical program provides comprehensive training, safety, standards, curriculum development, and technical modernization services to ensure national border security agents can operate safely and effectively. As a Training Assistant, you manage the crucial scheduling, logistics, and data entry that keeps AMO’s national training pipelines running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and data entry accuracy.
  • Strong customer service mindset, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the registration, scheduling, and logistics of AMO personnel for required training.
  • Act as a central point of contact between students, instructors, schoolhouses, military partners, and external training vendors.
  • Assist with student travel reviews, registration confirmations, training space reservations, and travel orders.
  • Meticulously update, verify, and archive electronic student training records and histories within official systems.
