About The Position

This Project Manager position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the area of Support Services. The mission-critical program provides comprehensive training, safety, standards, curriculum development, and technical modernization services to ensure national border security agents can operate safely and effectively. In this role, you translate the high-level goals of CBP/AMO into daily operational realities, ensuring that critical training and support projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and with absolute precision.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of project management or program coordination experience, preferably supporting federal agencies.
High proficiency in project management software (MS Project, JIRA, or similar toolsets).
Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Define & Execute: Build, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, milestones, work breakdown structures, and risk mitigation strategies.
Facilitate Success: Establish priorities, balance workloads, and monitor performance of project staff to ensure deliverables are met on schedule.
Communicate Clearly: Brief stakeholders bi-weekly on project health, solicit structured feedback, and pivot workflows based on client needs.
Quality Control: Ensure all project artifacts and deliverables meet rigorous government and Team Carney standards.
