About The Position

Drive and operate a service vehicle and towing equipment to assist AAA members and commercial customers. The role includes basic vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting, roadside services, and providing an outstanding customer service experience. Work takes place outdoors at vehicle sites in all weather and traffic conditions, and vehicle recovery locations may be wet, messy, or hazardous. This is a night role. Pay is $27.50 per hour, with the potential to earn up to an additional $1,900 per month through quality and productivity incentives.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Two years of experience in a customer-contact role.
• Clear and proficient verbal and written communication, including under pressure.
• Common knowledge of vehicle components and common reasons for vehicle failure.
• Problem-solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety, identify safety issues, and respond appropriately.
• Ability to drive manual- and automatic-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry tires and parts weighing up to 50 pounds several times a day, and to bend, kneel, and stoop as required.
• Provide a photograph for identification purposes.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational technical automotive training or certification, or equivalent experience.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a service vehicle to provide services such as flat tire changes, lock-out assistance, and fuel delivery.
• Interact with customers at service sites, establish rapport, build trust, and solve problems.
• Offer AAA products and services to members during service interactions.
• Use on-board computers, radio communications, and mapping systems.
• Complete daily paperwork, including call logs, battery invoices, and cash receipts.
• Perform simple vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Operate towing equipment for AAA members and commercial purposes.
