A warm, close-knit family of five in Irvine, California, is seeking a long-term nanny to care primarily for their 11-month-old daughter. Both parents work from home, so the nanny will communicate thoughtfully, collaborate with the parents, and lead engaging activities while respecting their workday routines. The child enjoys books, music, walking, and exploring outdoors. Her 3- and 5-year-old brothers will be at school for most of the nanny’s scheduled hours; when they are home during school holidays, the nanny will participate in age-appropriate activities and collaborate with a parent rather than take sole responsibility for all three children. The role includes attentive daily care, meals, diapering, naps, safe supervision, and developmentally appropriate play. Activities may include reading, music, movement, simple art projects, backyard exploration, and stroller walks to a nearby park. The nanny will prepare simple toddler meals and snacks, clean the kitchen after meal preparation, and handle children’s laundry, folding, and organization according to the family’s preferences. During naps, the nanny will assist with light child-related meal preparation and tidying as needed. The nanny will communicate about the day and adjust routines when a parent needs a quiet workspace or meeting area. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional flexibility to work until 4:00 p.m. The position is scheduled to start in November 2026 and pays $30 per hour. The role offers guaranteed hours, W-2 payroll, accrued sick pay, one week of accrued vacation pay, and some paid holidays. There is no child-related driving or grocery shopping. The home is pet-free. Applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist; qualifying applicants will meet the family before hiring.
