About The Position
East Wind Nannies is recruiting a part-time nanny for a family in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The nanny will care for one 7-year-old child after school, providing school pick-up, a snack, and engaging, age-appropriate afternoons that may include parks, outdoor activities, creative play, or quieter time at home. The family seeks a calm, dependable caregiver who can support transitions with routines, choices, gentle redirection, and playfulness, and become a trusted part of the family’s weekday routine. The core schedule is Monday through Friday, 3–6 p.m., with 15–20 hours per week guaranteed. Hours may be extended to start at 2 p.m. for household tasks or continue until 7 p.m. to help with dinner and the evening transition. Additional hours may be available during school breaks, teacher in-service days, summer, and occasional date nights. Household tasks may include family laundry, vacuuming or sweeping, light dinner preparation, and helping care for the family’s two cats. The family can provide a vehicle for school pick-up and outings. The nanny must have up-to-date vaccinations, including annual flu and COVID vaccinations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of previous nanny experience.
- A driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Up-to-date vaccinations, including annual flu and COVID vaccinations.
- Dependability, organization, and comfort taking the lead.
- Enjoyment of spending time with school-age children and engaging with their interests.
- Comfort with outdoor activities and supporting children with calm boundaries and gentle redirection.

Responsibilities
