About The Position

East Wind Nannies is recruiting a full-time nanny for a family in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. The nanny will care for a 3-year-old, a 14-month-old, and a baby expected in November. The family anticipates having more children and seeks someone interested in a long-term role that can grow with them. Both parents work from home and are described as supportive and respectful of the nanny’s role, with established routines and systems to follow. The family values collaboration, consistency, initiative, and open communication, including informal weekly check-ins and more intentional monthly conversations. The role centers on engaged, developmentally thoughtful childcare: active play, outdoor time, reading, and simple outings such as parks and library visits, with possible museum or zoo trips when appropriate. A family car is provided for outings. The role also includes household support as time allows. The family lives on a farm, where an occasional simple task such as collecting eggs with the children may be part of the day; this is optional and not heavy work. The schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Tuesdays off, for 36 guaranteed hours per week. The start date is ASAP. Compensation is $28–$32 per hour. The family offers two weeks of paid vacation (one week chosen by the family and one by the nanny), three sick/personal days, and all major holidays.
