About The Position

East Wind Nannies is recruiting a nanny for a family in McMurray, Pennsylvania, to care for a newborn boy. The family hopes the nanny can start in early to mid-January 2027 and stay through the end of 2027 or early 2028. The position provides 32 guaranteed hours per week, with the option to work additional date-night hours. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hourly rate is $26–$30. Care will be centered on the baby and include feeding, play, naps, developmental activities, and walks. As the child grows, outings to local parks, libraries, and museums are welcome. The nanny will also handle baby-related laundry, bottles, pump parts, and keeping the baby's spaces stocked and organized. The baby's older sister is usually at daycare; the family would appreciate flexibility to help with her when she is home sick or daycare is closed. Both parents work from home. The nanny and baby will primarily use the finished basement, which has a kitchen and living area. The family values consistent routines, attentive care, and open, direct communication. The ideal nanny is reliable, mature, warm, affectionate, playful, comfortable working independently with parents at home, and confident caring for an infant.
