About The Position

A family in New York City’s East Village is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their 4-month-old child on a long-term basis, starting Monday, November 16th. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional days extending to 6:00 PM. The family is looking for 45–50 hours of care per week. Compensation is $27–$30 per hour, with overtime pay for more than 40 hours per week.

The household has a friendly, medium-sized dog. No pet care is required except taking the dog on one or two stroller walks per day with the baby. The parents occasionally work from home. The family lives on the sixth floor, and the nanny must be comfortable climbing stairs daily.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of paid professional infant-care experience.
• CPR certified or willing to become certified.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting.
• Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening.
• Comfortable with friendly dogs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or passport for ID verification.
• Comfortable climbing stairs daily.

Responsibilities

• Change diapers.
• Feed bottles and, once age-appropriate, solid foods.
• Prepare meals for the child, including pureeing foods.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry for the baby.
• Take stroller walks with the baby and family dog.
