Part-Time Toddler Assistant Teacher
About The Position
Kids N Us is seeking an enthusiastic Toddler Assistant Teacher to help plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child enrolled in its care. No prior experience is needed; the employer is willing to train the right person. The role involves supervising a group of children and supporting daily classroom functions. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play, brings warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom, builds positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and staff, implements the school curriculum, and assesses students’ developmental needs. This is a part-time, in-person position with a Monday-to-Friday shift from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pay is $17.13–$18.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid TB skin test.
- Valid proof of MMR vaccination.
- Valid proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.
- Valid food handlers permit.
- Valid first aid and CPR card.
- Child Care Basics (30-hour course) Initial Certificate or equivalent, obtained within the past five years.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
