About The Position

Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto is a multi-generational family business providing automotive and repair services, including tire replacement and inspections and maintenance packages. The Tires Sales/Service Writer sells and promotes the company’s products and services while following store standards and expectations. The role involves welcoming customers, identifying and documenting service needs, recommending and explaining services, providing quotes and updates, completing checkout procedures, conducting follow-up calls, and tracking returns and warranty parts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a valid driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of the hire date.
Ability to work five days per week.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Service Advisor is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and courteously in person and by telephone using the company’s standardized customer service techniques.
Listen to and document customer concerns, inspect vehicles, and review service history to identify and verify service needs.
Recommend services within the appropriate level of knowledge and clearly communicate technician recommendations so customers can make informed decisions.
Document all service recommendations in the customer file.
Promote appropriate services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating knowledge of products and associated service requirements.
Provide accurate quotes, including cost and completion time, for customer-approved services.
Update customers throughout the day on the status of their services.
Follow checkout procedures, including reviewing the completed multi-point inspection and explaining applicable warranties.
Conduct post-repair and declined-service follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
Track new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for individual customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
