About The Position

Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto is a multi-generational family business offering automotive repair and maintenance services, including tire replacement and inspections. The Tires Sales/Service Writer sells and promotes the company’s products and services while meeting its store standards and expectations. The role includes assisting customers with service needs, communicating recommendations and quotes, keeping customers informed, and supporting accurate service documentation and payment processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work five days per week.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Service Advisor is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously in person and by telephone using the company’s customer service techniques.
• Listen to and document customer concerns; inspect vehicles and review service histories to identify and verify service needs.
• Recommend services according to the appropriate level of knowledge.
• Explain additional recommendations from automotive technicians so customers can make informed decisions, and document recommendations in customer files.
• Promote appropriate services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating an understanding of the products and related service requirements.
• Provide accurate quotes, including costs and completion times, for customer-approved services.
• Update customers throughout the day on the status of their services.
• Follow checkout procedures, review completed multi-point inspections, and explain applicable warranties.
• Make post-repair and declined-service follow-up calls to support customer satisfaction.
• Track new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for individual customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
