About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supporting safe and clean club operations, and following club policies and procedures. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, work collaboratively, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and deliver service excellence to members. The position is part time and requires regular, predictable, full attendance. The technician may also perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. The job involves exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures, weather, moving vehicles, machinery, loud equipment, and occasional company-approved chemicals and cleaning agents. Much of the work is spent standing and moving continuously on hard surfaces, with frequent bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
Install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
Repair tires and complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks when certified in accordance with DOT requirements and club policy.
Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area.
Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory.
Understand and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
Follow safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance.
Perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
