About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, maintaining inventory and displays, and keeping the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional. The position may also involve filling propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements and working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, install, and repair tires.
• Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks as needed when certified per DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate supply inventory and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, club policies, and procedures, and use tire bay equipment properly.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
