About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire-bay documentation, and maintains tire-bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supporting members’ needs, maintaining supplies and displays, and following safety and cleanliness standards. Team members are expected to work collaboratively, act with honesty and integrity, provide excellent member service, and help maintain a safe, clean, and positive club environment. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires, and otherwise install tires properly.
• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for their vehicles.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Complete tire-bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when certified according to DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and use tire-bay equipment properly.
• Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support club standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
