About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, verifies tire sizes for vehicles, and installs and repairs tires. The role includes mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; completing tire bay scheduling data and documentation; maintaining tire bay inventory, displays, cleanliness, and safety; and following club policies and procedures. The technician provides knowledgeable service at the tire desk, uses available special-order tire programs, and may coordinate with Home Office about member tire needs. Other duties may include properly disposing of tires, filling propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements, and working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with tire selection and purchases, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
• Install tires by mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing them; perform tire repairs as applicable.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed when certified under DOT requirements.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Follow club policies and procedures and support a safe, positive experience for members and team members.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
