About The Position

The Tire Sales & Installation Team Member assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supporting a safe and positive member experience, and maintaining a clean, organized tire bay and waiting area. Team members may also work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with tire selection and purchase, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
• Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, install, and repair tires properly.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when certified and as needed, following club policy and DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understand and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
• Follow safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Deliver friendly, attentive member service; address and deescalate concerns and escalate them when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively to meet club standards and goals, maintain a safe environment, and keep items stocked, promotional plans executed, signage accurate, and areas clean and organized.
