About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; maintaining inventory and displays; and providing service at the tire desk. The technician also maintains a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, follows safety and cleanliness standards, and may perform duties in other departments as needed.

The position requires regular, predictable, full attendance. Team members are expected to provide friendly service, address member concerns, work collaboratively, follow club policies, and contribute to a safe and positive environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn them.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
• Install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing them.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed when certified under DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, club policies, and procedures, and use tire bay equipment properly.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Deliver friendly service, address member concerns, work collaboratively, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
