About The Position

The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; maintaining inventory and displays; providing service at the tire desk; and keeping the tire bay and waiting area clean and safe. The technician may fill propane tanks if certified under DOT requirements and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
• Install tires by mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing them.
• Repair tires and properly dispose of tires.
• Fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, and merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support member service, a safe and positive environment, and the club's daily GOLD standards.
