About The Position

The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, ensuring tire bay equipment is used appropriately, and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional tire bay and waiting area. The technician may also perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks when needed, provided the technician is certified under DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, and merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, club policies, and tire bay procedures, and use tire bay equipment appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Provide member service, address and de-escalate member concerns, and contribute to a safe, positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
