About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role provides knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supports safe and clean operations, and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills or willingness to learn them.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.
Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
Regular, predictable, full attendance.

Nice To Haves

Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires.
Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when certified and as required by club policy.
Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area.
Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk, including helping select and purchase tires and verifying vehicle tire sizes.
Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
Understand and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
Follow safety and cleanliness standards and use tire bay equipment properly.
Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
Follow all club policies and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
Attend and pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
