About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, maintaining a clean and professional work area, and following club safety and cleanliness standards. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements and as needed.
• Keep the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Assist members with tire selection and purchases, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understand and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow club policies and procedures, safety standards, and cleanliness standards, and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
