Automotive Tire Technician Part Time $1000 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, keeping the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional, maintaining inventory, merchandising tire and automotive displays, and following safety and cleanliness standards. The technician may also fill propane tanks if certified under DOT requirements and perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

- Prior tire installation experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
- Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, install, and repair tires.
- Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks as needed when certified under DOT requirements.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
- Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Understand and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Follow safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support club standards.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
