About The Position

The Tire Technician assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; maintaining the tire bay and waiting area; merchandising tires and automotive products; and providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk. The technician may also fill propane tanks if certified under DOT requirements and may work in other departments as needed. Team members are expected to follow club policies and compliance requirements, provide excellent member service, help maintain a safe and positive environment, collaborate respectfully, and uphold the club’s GOLD and cleanliness standards. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills or willingness to learn them.
Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.
Prior tire installation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
Assist members with tire selection and purchases, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
Repair tires and provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk.
Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when needed, if certified under DOT requirements.
Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area.
Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
Use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
Follow safety and cleanliness standards and use tire bay equipment properly.
Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance.
Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
Deliver member service, address concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
