About The Position
Responsible for assisting members with selecting and purchasing tires, installing and repairing tires, completing tire bay documentation, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures. The role also involves providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supporting safe and positive member experiences, maintaining the tire bay and waiting area, and working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. BJ’s Wholesale Club emphasizes member-focused service, safe and inclusive teamwork, accountability, and consistent execution of club standards. The position requires compliance with club policies and procedures, safety and cleanliness standards, and appropriate use of tire bay equipment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

- Prior tire installation experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
- Install, mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires; perform tire repairs as required.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
- Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Understand and appropriately use available special-order tire programs.
- Follow safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support club standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
