About The Position
The Tire Sales and Installation Team Member assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, helping verify tire sizes for vehicles, and using available special-order tire programs. Team members maintain the tire bay, waiting area, displays, equipment, and inventory, while following club safety, cleanliness, and operating procedures. The position may also involve filling propane tanks when appropriately certified and working in other departments as needed. The role supports BJ’s service and club standards by addressing member concerns, creating a safe and positive environment, working collaboratively, and maintaining consistent attendance. The work takes place around indoor and outdoor conditions, moving vehicles and machinery, and potentially loud equipment. It involves standing and moving continuously on hard surfaces, frequent bending and other physical movements, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier or awkward objects.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
- Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, install, and repair tires.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with the Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed if certified under DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and use tire bay equipment properly.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support their application and compliance.
- Deliver service excellence, address and deescalate member concerns, and help ensure a safe and positive member experience.
- Work collaboratively to meet club standards and maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
