About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a part-time Tire Sales & Installation Team Member. This role assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay sales and service documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The team member also provides member service, maintains a clean and safe tire bay, manages supplies, and may help in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for their vehicles.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and address member concerns.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Use available special-order tire programs appropriately and coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed if certified under DOT requirements.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, club policy, and equipment-use standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
