About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will provide safe and efficient service in the sales and service areas of the department and help deliver a positive member experience. You will collaborate with associates to meet member expectations, provide customer service, and support sales and service requests. The role involves using knowledge of tire and battery products, safety and compliance protocols, equipment, TPMS, service standards, and point-of-sale systems. You will use handheld technology and other digital tools to support service, sales, safety, training, and business decisions. You will also operate cash registers, process transactions, monitor inventory and orders, maintain equipment and supplies, complete required documentation, and help members with purchasing decisions and concerns. The technician is expected to model respectful, ethical, customer-focused and team-oriented behavior; help train and mentor associates; follow company policies and procedures; and adapt to new tools, technologies, priorities, and feedback. The position offers an hourly wage range of $20.00 to $28.00, with possible premiums in specific circumstances, as well as performance-based bonus awards and benefits. The primary location is 1460 Cornerstone Blvd., Daytona Beach, Florida.

Requirements

Valid state-issued driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must successfully complete all job-required training and assessments within the prescribed time period if selected.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests and provide safe, efficient customer service.
Educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor and assist in training new technicians and team members.
Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality.
Use point-of-sale systems, handheld technology, and digital tools to support sales, improve the service experience, respond to safety alerts, and make service-related business decisions.
Communicate equipment, tools, and supply needs to the TBC Lead.
Track and monitor returns and special orders; operate cash registers and process transactions.
Maintain the physical work area, inventory accuracy, audit standards, and safety and compliance standards.
Report complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, or work areas.
Complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored according to company policies and procedures.
Identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.
Model high-quality service and respectful, supportive, team-oriented conduct; help develop, influence, and inspire other associates.
Follow company policies, procedures, ethics standards, and related action plans, including use of the Open Door Policy.
Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; communicate progress and recommend improvements.
