The Tire and Battery Center (TBC) Service Advisor is responsible for providing expert member service and recommendations for tire and battery products. This role involves maintaining sales floor standards, managing merchandise presentation, and assisting members with appointments for tire installation and maintenance. The advisor will use company resources like Sam's Garage and product knowledge to recommend the safest and most suitable products, explain warranties, and ensure members receive the best service and value. They will also drive sales by communicating the value of TBC offerings and collaborating with other associates. The role includes triaging and prioritizing service workflow in the TBC service bays, demonstrating knowledge of safety, compliance, industry guidelines, equipment operations, and various technical aspects of tires and batteries. Leveraging technology to enhance operations and engagement is also a key part of this position. The Service Advisor acts as a brand advocate, valuing the member's experience and modeling high-quality service. They will also assist in developing and influencing team members, understanding roadblocks, and providing training. This role involves completing vehicle service requests, operating TBC equipment properly and safely, receiving and storing merchandise, and completing required documentation. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effectively engaging with people and handling challenging situations with professionalism and empathy. The role also includes operating hardware, processing member purchases, and assisting with payments, returns, and exchanges, all while complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
