About The Position

This role involves being a team member, expert, techie, owner, and talent ambassador within the Tire and Battery Center (TBC). You will collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates, and mentor new technicians. You will demonstrate expertise in safety, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operation, TPMS, product specifications, and selling techniques. Leveraging digital tools for sales and service improvement, you will use hand-held technology for immediate business decisions. As an owner, you will manage equipment and supply needs, process transactions, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will also act as a brand advocate, valuing the member experience, and developing others. The role requires compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and integrity, while embracing diversity and fostering a culture of belonging. You will work as a team, build trusting relationships, communicate effectively, and strengthen the team by mentoring others. Acting with integrity means maintaining high ethical standards, modeling company values, and holding oneself and others accountable. Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members to fulfil sales and service requests
  • Educates other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentors new technicians
  • Communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone and inperson selling techniques
  • Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement
  • Utilizes hand held technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training
  • Adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them
  • Communicates equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead
  • Tracks and monitors returns and special orders
  • Operates cash registers and processes transactions
  • Works hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory
  • Audits safety and compliance standards
  • Reports TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas
  • Completes paperwork, logs, and other required documentation
  • Ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions, and resolves issues and concerns
  • Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the members experience in the TBC area and modeling high quality service and products
  • Develops, influences, and inspires others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented
  • Understands roadblocks and assists in training team members
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans
