About The Position

Legends Global, a premier partner to live events, venues, and brands, is collaborating with the University of Maryland (Maryland Athletics) to enhance revenue generation through an integrated approach. This partnership focuses on data and analytics, marketing, Terrapin Club fundraising, premium seating, a new private social membership club, and general ticket sales. Legends will lead sales strategy and execution for premium seating and ticket packages, working closely with development leadership to support Terrapin Fund programs. A key component is Legends' fundraising platform, designed to boost fan and donor engagement, ticket sales, and philanthropic giving. The initiative also includes launching a Private Social Member Club & Restaurant within Maryland Athletic venues, offering elevated hospitality and exclusive perks for members. A robust technology, data, and analytics platform will provide deeper insights into fan behavior and engagement. The Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist role is central to driving revenue for Maryland Athletics by achieving sales goals for season tickets, group tickets, premium tickets, donations, and hospitality packages. This individual will be responsible for engaging, servicing, and soliciting existing donors and ticket holders, as well as identifying new prospective donors. The focus is on building relationships, providing excellent service to all Maryland supporters, driving revenue, and representing Legends and the University of Maryland positively. The role operates under the guidance of the Director, Sales, Service, & Retention.

Requirements

  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members and donors
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years sales experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Offer a full menu of seating opportunities for Maryland Football, Men’s Basketball, and all other ticketed sports.
  • Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Identify and manage a portfolio of new prospects and existing donors to drive revenue through ticket and donation sales.
  • Identify and evaluate potential donors; design and implement prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet goals.
  • Cultivate donor relationships with Maryland through phone and in-person outreach, solicit support for university priorities, and steward generosity.
  • Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in conjunction with Maryland Athletic Department team members to promote and generate sales while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with administrative ticket functions.
  • Assist with special projects or duties as assigned by the Director, Sales, Service, & Retention.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with current donors and prospects through creative means including networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at stadium, and outside meetings.
  • Be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days.
  • Be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals.
