About The Position

The Ticket Seller is responsible for courteously interacting with the public, accurately issuing tickets, accepting payments, and providing information about events. This role requires maintaining a professional demeanor, adhering to policies, and assisting customers with various ticketing needs. The position involves balancing cash drawers, handling customer inquiries in person and over the phone, and working independently while also collaborating with the team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-year Prior cash handling experience and excellent math skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge helpful.
  • Good communication skills & willingness to work as a team.
  • Must be able to interact successfully with all coworkers and the public.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & workers.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts including, nights, weekends & holidays as needed.
  • Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.
  • Follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergence procedures established at the facility.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, moving, climbing, walking and able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must have sufficient math ability and knowledge to accurately always count and handle money.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedure and have at least 1 year cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to courteously interact with the public face to face.
  • Open and/or closes ticket window as required.
  • Accurately issue tickets purchased by patrons; accepts payment and makes change accurately.
  • Accurate accounting for ticket revenue.
  • Maintain a cash drawer.
  • Provide information to the public regarding tickets and facility events.
  • Direct ticketing issues to the Box Office Manager/Director of Finance.
  • Maintain a professional and polite relationship with co-workers, clients, and the public.
  • Maintain an organized work area in a professional, neat and clean manner.
  • Adhere to Box Office policy and procedures.
  • Assist customers with Will Call tickets for events.
  • Accept payment and make change before giving tickets to customer.
  • Ability to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance.
  • Provide accurate answers concerning events, tickets and schedules of upcoming events in person or on the telephone.
  • Balances cash and card drawer with manager at the end of each shift.
  • All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
