About The Position

The Ticket Seller/Ticket Taker handles tickets for public and private events held at the Hoover Met Complex or at other designated facilities as required by event promoters. The role involves assisting guests with ticket purchases and issues, providing information about tickets and the facility, and supporting event staff and management. The position is part-time and non-exempt.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests.
• Ability to make rational decisions and assist customers with problem-solving.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be prompt for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Courteously engage with the public face-to-face.
• Provide the public with information regarding tickets and the facility.
• Assist guests with ticketing issues and complaint resolution.
• Maintain professional and polite relationships with team members, clients, and the public.
• Keep the work area professional, neat, and clean.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
• Assist event team members and management with additional duties.
