About The Position

The Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role focused on delivering impactful engagement with health care providers (HCPs) and driving appropriate adoption of BMS medicines in the cardiovascular portfolio. The TAS promotes approved product indications, creates demand through balanced scientific dialogue, and prioritizes safe and appropriate use while meeting business performance objectives and exemplifying BMS values. The role builds and maintains professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians and other HCPs, office staff, medical groups, and stakeholders across the patient care continuum. It serves as a primary point of contact for these customers and collaborates with other BMS functions to provide timely, scientifically grounded customer support. The TAS spends much of their time in the field with external customers. The TAS develops and executes territory and account plans, uses tools such as SOPHIA and CE^3 to generate insights and dynamically plan customer engagements, and provides feedback to leadership on these tools. The role presents approved scientific information consistent with product labeling, organizes external speaker programs, stays current on emerging data for approved indications, and engages Medical on Call for unsolicited questions or complex technical inquiries. Success requires scientific agility, customer-centric account management, strong communication and selling skills, analytical and digital capabilities, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The position requires operation of a company-provided vehicle. Employment offers are contingent on meeting the company’s Qualified Driver requirements, including being at least 21, holding a valid driver’s license in good standing, and meeting the company’s acceptable driving-risk criteria. The position is listed as field-based in the United States, with a primary posting location of Atlanta North, Georgia.
