About The Position

The Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role responsible for driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within a defined portfolio and territory, for appropriate patients. The TAS engages health care providers (HCPs) through differentiated customer experiences and deeper scientific dialogue consistent with approved product labeling. The role builds and maintains professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians and other HCPs, office staff, and stakeholders across the patient care continuum, serving as their primary point of contact. The role presents accurate and balanced scientific information, conducts in-office presentations, organizes external speaker programs, stays current on emerging data, and uses Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries. It also collaborates with field teams and internal stakeholders, and complies with applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
