About The Position

McMenamins Bagdad Theater & Pub is seeking a Theater Concessions / Food Runner (18+). McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beverages and pub fare. Food Runner duties include greeting and seating customers in a high-volume environment, answering phones, directing customers, answering guest questions, and expediting and delivering food from the kitchen to patrons. This position may also involve cleaning and setting tables, restocking supplies, general cleaning, working outdoors seasonally, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The role requires mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, working both independently and as part of a team.

Concessions team members handle all tasks from opening to closing, including expediting food, selling tickets and concession items, serving beverages, greeting customers, checking IDs for alcohol purchases, operating a POS system, cash handling, restocking, dishwashing, and general cleaning. They also wait and bus tables in dimly lit theater environments. This role is physically demanding and requires mental agility and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, working both independently and as part of a team. Employees must perform their jobs safely, report safety concerns, and stay current on company events, history, and products. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card / OLCC permit
• Previous related experience is preferred
• Open and flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment
• Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
• Mental agility and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seating customers
• Answering phones
• Directing customers to assigned or preferred seating
• Answering guest questions regarding the pub or property
• Expediting and delivering food from the kitchen to patrons
• Helping, cleaning, and setting tables
• Restocking supplies
• Performing general cleaning
• Working outside on a seasonal basis
• Working in smoking and non-smoking environments
• Maintaining and providing excellent customer relations
• Selling tickets and concession items
• Serving food, pouring and serving beer, wine and spirits
• Checking ID’s of patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages
• Operating a POS system
• Cash handling
• Dishwashing
• Waiting and bussing tables in dimly lit theater environments
• Performing job in a safe manner and reporting safety concerns
• Keeping current on all company events, history, and products
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty
