About The Position

As a Dining Room Assistant, you will help ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience by providing efficient, friendly service. You will assist with setting up dining areas, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-quality dining environment and grow within the hospitality industry.

The role may also include other job-related duties assigned by the supervisor. The hospitality business operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests arriving in the dining room, provide menus, and help ensure they are seated comfortably.
• Set tables with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards.
• Assist waitstaff with timely and accurate delivery of food and drinks.
• Maintain dining-area cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables, vacuuming, and tidying throughout the shift.
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth operations and timely service.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and help accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Replenish supplies such as napkins, condiments, and beverage-station items.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and food-handling standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
